First Story Appeal

First Story BBC Radio Appeal

Nottingham Academy has been working with First Story for many years. First Story provide a resident author at both our Ransom Road and Greenwood Campuses. Each week the author runs an extra curricular writers workshops were pupils are invited to come along and write freely, whether that is poetry or fiction. The sessions have always been very popular and throroughly enjoyed by all who attend. At the end of each school year. The group publish an anthology of their work.

This weekend First Story will have a charity appeal on BBC Radio 4, presented by Robert Webb, actor and author. The appeal will showcase First Story's work with young people and let listeners know how they can make a donation to support the charity.

You can tune in to the appeal itself on the radio at FM 92.4 – 94.6, LW 198 on Sunday 17th December at 07:55 and 21:26 and on BBC iPlayer for the following week.
