Admissions

Admissions to The Wells Academy

Pupils are admitted at the start of:

  • Secondary year 7 (age 11)

Admission Numbers:

  • The Academy has the capacity for 180 pupils in each year group
  • This may be reviewed and adjusted in Year 8 - 11 based on the amount of resource available to the Academy

To apply for a place at The Wells Academy

For admission to secondary year 7, in the year preceding admission, parents should apply using Nottingham City Council's Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme.

For admission in September, these forms should be returned by midday on 31 October for secondary Year 7.

In-Year Admissions

Nottingham City local authority will co-ordinate in-year admissions and applications should be made online to their local authority Admissions website

If a parent’s/carer’s application for a place at the Academy is unsuccessful, they have
the right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel. Appeals should be made within twenty (20) school days of the date of refusal.

If refused admission, you should contact the Academy, in writing and giving reason for appeal, at the address below to lodge an appeal:
