2025 Results

We are incredibly proud of the progress our students have made and we’re delighted to share the fantastic improvements in our results this year.

What is Attainment 8?
Attainment 8 is a national measure that shows how well students perform across eight key subjects, including English, maths, sciences and other important qualifications. It gives an overall picture of how much students achieve in their GCSEs.

• In 2024, our Attainment 8 score was 3.41.

• In 2025, our Attainment 8 score rose to 4.28.

This is a significant improvement, showing that students at our school are achieving higher grades across a wide range of subjects.

What is Basics 4?
Basics 4 measures the percentage of students who achieve at least a grade 4 (a “standard pass”) in both English and maths. This is an important benchmark that opens up many opportunities for further education and training.

• In 2024, 48% of our students achieved Basics 4.

• In 2025, this increased to 59%.

This means that far more of our students are leaving school with these essential qualifications.

What is Basics 5?
Basics 5 measures the percentage of students who achieve at least a grade 5 (a “strong pass”) in both English and maths. This is a higher standard that prepares students even better for sixth form, apprenticeships and future careers.

• In 2024, 26% of our students achieved Basics 5.

• In 2025, this rose to 34%.

This is a fantastic step forward, showing that more of our students are reaching strong passes in these vital subjects.
